We are looking for Amsterdam-based B2B sales superstars to expand our global footprint
From our Amsterdam office and remotely from our homes across The Netherlands, Mesh ID is steadily building a global network of A-list clients and strategic partnerships to drive sales. To cover the multiple jurisdictions in which we operate (Netherlands, UK, Ireland and Luxembourg) we are looking for technology-obsessed B2B SaaS sales superstars with grit. We are looking for people with a deep understanding of technology, financial services and ideally the fund management industry – or at least with the intellect and motivation to learn all about it. We are looking for confident, commercially savvy, and creative-thinking professionals who have the willingness and tenacity to keep going when faced with obstacles and will find a window when the door closes.

What you will need to do well

  • You are confident that you can handle an intellectually demanding sales process and navigate some degree of uncertainty while keeping yourself super motivated by constantly inventing, creating and moving toward shifting goals without a firmly established playbook.
  • As Business Developer, you will become a Mesh ID expert that is able to quickly identify and research prospects based on predetermined criteria, evaluate opportunities, and develop a strategic approach to generate their interest and win their business.
  • You will report to our Commercial Director and will be responsible for the entire sales process: from lead to contract, and right up to the successful onboarding of the client (done by our ops team)
  • You are target-driven and know how to take initiative, generate and follow-up on leads, and build customer pipelines by creating interest and developing conversations with contacts at fund managers, fund administrators, corporate law firms, and custodian banks. If you do not already have one, we expect you to develop your own network in the industry – and we are happy to guide you in this endeavour.
  • You will actively seek out and qualify new sales leads and business opportunities through active (digital and in-person) networking and sending personal, strategic, value-add emails, out-bound calls, and direct social-media messages.
  • You will be selling a compelling product with attractive unit economics: the ratio of net operational benefits to our clients for using Mesh ID is significant which makes this an attractive product to sell. The sales process usually starts online and often results in ‘in person’ meetings that may require some travel to our core markets (UK and Luxembourg).
  • You are the type of person that is always on the lookout to solve problems and create opportunities for yourself and others, making solutions more efficient and repeatable, and keep iterating from there. You are a positive and analytical individual that always finds or creates new ways around obstacles and finds opportunities to speed things up.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales role or similar (in the funds sector preferred).
  • Fantastic verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build genuine report.
  • C-Suite rapport – You know their lingo and style and so can connect with them. This means you get doors to open, can negotiate and close deals with this group.
  • Fluent in English – Other languages are always a bonus (e.g. Dutch, French, etc.)
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and researching targeted personas.
  • Empathy – you care to understand a client’s problems/objections and address them.
  • Tech savvy – you’re not afraid to pick up new technology and work with it. We use CRM systems (Pipedrive); LinkedIn Sales Navigator; MS Office.
  • Passion, drive and “kick ass” attitude – you need to be hands-on self-starter with infectious entrepreneurial spirit, a genuine interest in this space, be persistent, and have the desire to build a career in fintech/SaaS sales.
  • Educated – Bachelor’s degree from a competitive university.
  • B2B sales experience at a SaaS start-up/scale-up will really impress us!
