The configuration screen

6. Issuing country

If you would like your client to use a specific document during the verification process, you can request it by selecting the issuing country of your choice from the “Accept documents from” section.

Issuing country

7. Document type

Once you select the country, you will see a new field “Accept documents of type” appearing on your screen. The list of documents will vary depending on the issuing country you choose. In the standard configuration your client can choose any issuing country available from the list.

8. Issuing country and document type warning

Please note that pre-filling the issuing country and document type for your client restricts them from choosing an alternative issuing country or document type. Nevertheless, should they proceed with a different document and it proves to be valid, the verification process may still yield a successful outcome.

9. Language

In the “Language” section, you have the option to select the preferred language for your client to navigate through the process. In the standard configuration the language is set to English.

10. Capture methods allowed

In the “Capture methods allowed” section, you can choose how clients capture their documents. Three options are available: “Camera or upload”: Clients can either capture the document in real-time or upload it from their device.

Capture methods allowed

11. Capture methods allowed

“Camera only”: Clients must submit their document by taking a picture during the process. “Upload only”: Clients can only upload a document from their device; they cannot capture an image during the process.

Capture methods allowed

12. Verify document only

Choosing “Verify document only” means your client will not be asked to go through the biometric “selfie” step and only needs to submit their identity document. Since no selfie is taken, Mesh ID will not perform likeness and liveness checks but will still verify the document’s security features.

Verify document only

13. Verify document only

Be cautious, as enabling this option lets anyone with a copy of the identity document complete the process, particularly if you opt for “camera or upload” or “upload” options as the capture method.

14. Verification link

Once you checked your preferred configuration, click “Save”. You will be redirected to the last step of the process, which is sharing the verification link you just generated. There are two ways how you can do this.

15. Verification link

You can copy the link and send it to your client directly via your preferred communication method. Alternatively, you can type in the email address of your client and click “Send”. Mesh ID will then send an email with the verification link to your client on your behalf.
